forecasting predictive analysis data analysisA class of experienced internationally-trained supply chain professionals, participants of the Supply Chain Connections bridging program at ACCES Employment, under the guidance of a Sheridan College instructor, will analyze a supply chain challenge of your choice and provide recommendations to optimize your operations and achieve your goals.
Learners
Phase 1 – Project Plan: Students will meet with organization representative(s) to devise the project scope and prepare a detailed plan for completion of the project.
Phase 2 – Project Execution: Students will work on deliverables outlined in the project plan. Teams will periodically communicate with organization representative(s) as needed to complete project tasks.
Phase 3 - Outcome: The final deliverables will be agreed upon in Phase 1 and will vary by project. Generally, your organization will receive a report, live presentation, or project plan.

Requirements
ACCES Employment is a non-profit organization that helps internationally-educated professionals launch their careers in Canada through their bridging programs. Experienced supply chain professionals are provided Canadian workplace and academic training through Sheridan College allowing them to transition into a full time position in the Canadian supply chain sector. Starting in late April, a class of internationally-trained supply chain professionals, participants of the Supply Chain Connections bridging program, working in groups of five will spend 200 collective hours solving a supply chain management challenge of your choosing.
Based on the project goals and focus that you provide, each group will analyze the challenges and present actionable recommendations to address them.
Example project topics include, but are not limited to:
- Demand forecasting.
- Improving workflow in distribution centre warehouses.
- Determining the best price for products/services.
Additional company criteria
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:
Be available for a quick phone call with the organizer to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the experience.
Present your project to students either in person or in a detailed written briefing.
Provide a Riipen skill rating on student performance upon completion of the project.
Provide feedback on up to 5 deliverables.
Be willing to wok with 4- 5 student groups; you can communicate through team communication leads or the project coordinator.
