Learner goals and capabilities

Bring on learners from Ohio University to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.

Learners in this program/experience will learn and then follow a stage gate development process to develop product ideas, decide how to position the ideas, write concept statements, test the concepts first qualitatively and then quantitatively, and then proceed to developing a proof of concept prototype. For perspective, last year the class developed ideas for a seasonal decorations company named Old world Christmas.

The process starts with a situation analysis and ends with a product prototype. Students include marketing and communications majors and we will have graphic capabilities.
