- Everyday Joy is a home décor and lifestyle company. We sell uniquely curated modern home décor accessories through our online ecommerce channel, while providing our customers with resources and content to help create beautiful spaces in their homes.
- Our Project focuses on identifying new marketing tactics to execute our strategy. Our prospective intrapreneur(s) will be tasked with assisting marketing in executing new strategies to build brand awareness and customer loyalty to our current and new audiences. We are looking for passionate, creative individuals excited to contribute a fresh perspective to a growing small business.
- We believe in amplifying the unique characteristics in everyone that make us different. Treating everyone from our team and our customers with respect is an important value at Everyday Joy. As a female led, black owned business, experiencing bias based on gender, race and status has not been lost on our founder and we seek to create an environment that amplifies our community’s voices, not silencing them.
KEY PROJECT ACTIVITIES/TÂCHES ASSOCIÉES AU PROJET:
- Brand Awareness - support in generating digital media assets, implementing copy, and expanding on concepts for brand voice/story that support brand messaging for target audience
- Utilizing existing content to curate social media platforms with messaging that generates engagement and supports community development
- Researching social media trends and suggest ways to implement into strategy and build content
- Collaborate with team to create a social media calendar and content ideas to generate along with the calendar dates

FINAL PROJECT DELIVERABLES/LIVRABLES DU PROJET:
- Final project deliverable : Group presentation highlighting performance metrics of the marketing tactics developed implemented to support the strategy. Identifying successes that led to growth and can be pursued and opportunities for reiteration.

We want to make sure that our interns are thriving and have the necessary skills at the end of our term to elevate their success in other business ventures and career opportunities. Our weekly check-ins with our Interns and Mentor will be facilitated through our digital work channel on Microsoft Teams. The meeting will be an opportunity for the Intern to openly communicate their personal progress, asses how they feel they are improving and take charge in leading their learning opportunities. With the mentor they will be able to create personal career / achievement goals that they want to complete before the end of their term and asses their progress on meeting the goals. We want to ensure that the space is positive, inviting and fosters community and growth.
The Mentor is also available during the Week (mon-fri) to connect on questions, concerns or how to’s during the internship term.
