The main goal of this project is to assist in running a campaign to lobby to keep the only coin operated laundromat in Squamish open. This would include lobbying various levels of Government, reaching out to private landlords, dealing with the Squamish Nation, and raising awareness of the importance of access to washing facilities as a basic human right.


Deliverables

The tasks that learners need to complete to achieve the project goal include:


- Writing letters to government officials, private landlords, and the Squamish Nation.


- Following up on media outreach.


- Creating presentations.


- Posting social media stories.


- Meeting daily with the owner.


Mentorship

We are there with you every day to keep this place alive to the sake of public health and the environment.
