planningBlack and White Stories is a national project that records, preserves and passes on contemporary stories of cultural convergence in modern Australia. These are stories where black and white Australians work together to provide positive outcomes for their communities, whether they are in metropolitan, remote, urban, rural or regional parts of the country.
The official launch of Black and White Stories is planned for November 2021, and we are looking for help in planning, producing, and executing a unique media campaign surrounding the official launch. The launch will incorporate the first story produced, which is about Opening The Doors Foundation.
Our goal is to have Black and White become widely known throughout the community so that we can raise funds to continue telling positive stories about black and white Australians collaborating to improve each other’s community. We want to spread the message that the positive aspects of cultural convergence stories are an important factor in Australian society and Black and White Stories is the primary voice for these stories.
We are hoping to undertake a creative campaign with original thinking from the students.
The project will be overseen by an experienced Communications Manager who is happy to assist in research and ideation, and give guidance about professional production of written and AV material. Frequency and timing of meetings can be arranged when the project starts.
We can arrange a cultural awareness session for students if required.
