Habitat Learn has developed a proprietary captioning application that blends AI and human captioning. The scope of this project will involve implementing back end programming to detect connected USB hardware devices. The target USB devices are foot pedals that note takers use to start and stop playback of recorded audio. UI for device selection is also part of this project.

Deliverables

- UI for USB device display and selection

- back end code for detecting connected devices

- mapping device buttons to desired functionality

- starting and stopping audio playback on button press

Mentorship

Students will be provided documentation and assistance in troubleshooting any issues they encounter along the way.
