Located in Amiskwaciwâskahikan, Treaty 6 territory (Edmonton, Alberta), The Green Room is a community initiative dedicated to supporting youth and young adults. We offer a safe and welcoming space for individuals to connect, learn, and grow while expressing their faith, culture, and creativity. The Green Room offers a variety of activities, programs, and services that promote well-being, educational advancement, and community engagement. We support those navigating contemporary challenges, seeking meaningful connections, and exploring opportunities to foster belonging and purpose. This program is an initiative of Islamic Family.

The Green Room, Fellowship Internship
The Green Room is forming a Youth Advisory Council made up of young adult volunteers who will contribute their perspectives, develop their skills, and help our team better serve youth and young adults in need within our community. Each council member will take on a distinct role and receive hands-on training and guidance from The Green Room team and local experts. Council members will have the chance to propose, participate in, and lead innovative projects that uplift racialized Muslim and newcomer youth in Edmonton. The council will primarily consist of post-secondary students, offering them mentorship, training, and ongoing support from The Green Room. We are looking for individuals for the following available roles: Shop Talk Facilitator Volunteer Outreach
