Content Creation

Positions available: 2 We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our core values, marketing goals, and customer expectations. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. Background: Our first product is called SideKick Card (www.sidekickcard.com) and it's a financial solution for international students and their parents. We are looking for help with creating content for blog posts with the goal to (A) teach students how to manage their money, and (B) advise parents how to teach their kids financial literacy. Although these topics might seem boring at first, we would like to demystify them and make them interesting enough for parents, teenagers and kids. On top of that, we would like help with creating engaging content for our social media channels (@sidekickcard). To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Understand and align with our core values and take the time to get to know our product/audiences Write blog articles, social media captions and other content pieces on assigned topics Assist with content for email sequences, presentations, and marketing materials Ultimately, you will be working on content creation for our organization, including posts, video, social media, and other collateral that we can use as go-to marketing tools. If you like the sound of our culture and are ready to tackle this challenge with us, then we'd love to hear from you. A student or team with excellent writing skills would be the ideal candidate for this project.

Data Security & Penetration Testing

As a financial tool for international students, SideKick Card collects and transmits sensitive data from users all around the world. We want to put our product through a security & compliance crash course with your help. This project will include: An identification of necessary compliance regulations both in Canada and in our key markets, such as Brazil and Mexico, and an investigation of how our current processes adhere to those regulations Penetration testing of every aspect of our product: mobile app, web app, and backend servers. A short summary (written or presented in a slide deck) of your findings, including any potential vulnerabilities or shortcomings, and potential solutions to those vulnerabilities. We will give you access to organizational assets to support this project such as personnel, account logins, and internal tools. Objective We hope to gain a comprehensive understanding of where we sit when it comes to security & compliance in our product.
