communicationLooking to increase the interconnectivity of your community, and empower all global citizens? Bring on students from Fanshawe College in to be your student-consultants, in a project-based experience.
Students in this program will have a keen understanding of the interconnectivity of global and local issues. Students are able to articulate the roles, responsibilities, and impact that individuals can have within their local, national, and international communities. They will also have exposure to examining topics such as: population growth, race, diversity, nationalist, poverty, technology, migration, global economics, conflict and the environment.
Learners
Deliverables will vary depending on the scope of the partnership. However, these deliverables must be discussed and agreed upon prior to the start of the work period.

Project Examples
Requirements
Beginning in January, students in groups of 3-5 will work with your company to identify your needs and provide actionable recommendations, based on their in-depth research and analysis.
Project examples that students can complete may include, but are not limited to:
- Fundraising for non-profit organizations
- Developing, planning and implementing environmental projects
- Assisting in the development of writing campaigns
- Assisting in increasing the engagement of communities in social issues
- Encouraging civic engagement
- Freedom of speech projects
- Prisoners of conscience projects
- Letter writing campaigns
Additional company criteria
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:
Be available for at least 2 follow-up meetings with the students to monitor progress, clarify doubts, and answer questions.
Provide an opportunity for students to present their work and receive feedback.
Be available for a quick phone/virtual call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.
Provide relevant information/data as needed for the project.
Provide a dedicated contact person who is available for weekly/bi-weekly drop-ins to address students’ questions as well as periodic messages over the duration of the project.
