Learner goals and capabilities

Fanshawe College’s Office Administration Health Services program offers employers a unique opportunity to bring on students who are eager to develop their professional skills in healthcare (medical) administration. These students, through a structured (unpaid) work placement, are learning to excel in managing office workflows, optimizing communication systems, and maintaining health records within medical settings.

Our students are trained to manage administrative tasks, coordinate office communications, and implement health records systems—all within tight deadlines and priorities. As part of their learning objectives, students will gain practical experience by taking on real-world projects that align with your organization’s goals. This experience helps them develop critical skills in office technologies, document production, and confidentiality in health services.
