Full Brand Identity Design Exploration
ART 363
Trinity Western University's Art + Design program is excited to invite organizations to collaborate with our third and fourth-year students in the "Format and Layout Design" course. As one of the projects for this course, students merge classroom learning with a real-world design challenge, honing their skills in brand and identity design. This project has a relatively fast-paced turnaround time of roughly 4-5 weeks and there are roughly 15-20 students in this course. By partnering with us, clients will have the opportunity to engage with a full class of motivated learners who are eager to develop their design expertise through providing well-developed design solutions in several ready-to-use file formats and lockups. We seek clients who can meet with the class in an initial client interview (either in-person or virtual), provide each student with a few sentences of written constructive feedback at the mid-way point, and participate in the final design presentation session (in-person or virtual) where students will showcase their work. This will support a meaningful learning experience for our students. Please note that there are a range of experience levels among the students in the class. Some students will have previously taken one design course, while others may have previously taken 4-5 design courses. For this reason, the client should expect some variation in quality among the students' projects. All students will be expected to develop their work in consultation with the instructor, and tasked with providing strong design solutions that address the clients needs and goals.
Service Leadership in Action with TWU
LDRS 300 I2
This experience focuses on applying the principles of leadership as service, inspired by the life of Jesus, to real-world projects. Learners will explore how to motivate and mobilize teams through service-oriented leadership, enhancing their ability to think creatively and act with integrity. By integrating leadership theories with practical applications, learners will develop skills to contribute effectively within organizational settings, fostering environments that prioritize the development and well-being of others.
Strategic Leadership Collaboration: Empowering Future Leaders
LDRS 501 RD
The MA Leadership Graduate Program at Trinity Western University (TWU) offers first-year graduate students an opportunity to engage with real-world leadership challenges in the course Strategic Leadership. Students in this program are developing advanced leadership skills, particularly in strategic thinking, servant leadership, and social responsibility. They are equipped to analyze, design, and implement leadership strategies while focusing on human motivation, direction, and development. Students are actively looking to apply leadership theories to real organizational problems, integrate ethical decision-making, and foster social responsibility. By collaborating with employers on projects, students will demonstrate their ability to research, communicate, and lead while further developing key leadership competencies.
Collaborative Media and Communication Projects with TWU Students
MCOM 192 A
Trinity Western University’s Media + Communication (MCOM) program offers an experiential learning opportunity for a group of first through fourth year students enrolled in the "Communication Colloquium: Professional Preparation" course. These students are keen to build a broad foundational knowledge of human communication and culture, hone critical and creative thinking skills, and apply their learning through real-world projects. This course emphasizes professional preparation, equipping students with a broad overview of the professional world, interdisciplinary perspectives and a thoughtful engagement of a variety of contemporary issues. Employers are expected to maintain regular communication with the learners, provide necessary guidance and information for project execution, be virtually present for the final presentations, and offer constructive and professional feedback via the Riipen platform.
