Web Database Systems Design and Implementation

Participants will gain hands-on experience in analyzing, designing, and implementing web database applications using technologies such as ASP.NET Entity and Identity Framework, and various database servers like SQLite, SQL Server, and Oracle. Learners will apply their knowledge to real-world projects, enhancing their ability to create robust software solutions and comprehensive documentation that can be completed within 3 months.
Cyber Security: Digital Signatures and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)

This experience focuses on the practical application of digital signatures within the framework of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Learners will gain a comprehensive understanding of how digital signatures function, their implementation, and their role in secure communications. By engaging with real-world projects, learners will apply their knowledge to design, analyze, and improve digital signature systems, ensuring secure and authenticated digital transactions. This experience is ideal for industry professionals seeking innovative solutions to enhance security protocols. We are inviting organizations to collaborate with students during the Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 terms. In Fall 2025, students will engage in individual projects, while Winter 2026 will focus on team-based work. Please note: The Fall 2025 experience is an optional assignment for students. While we make every effort to align student interests with your project needs, we cannot guarantee project selection. Final confirmation of participating students will be provided by early September 2025.

Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on intermediate level learners from London Metropolitan University to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work individually, and dedicate up to 70 hours of placement time over the course of 3 months, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students are capable of completing Project work independently, and will require direction and moderate supervision. SM5W50 - Work Based Learning for Media (2024/25)
What can our students do for your organisation? Students can contribute in a variety of ways. Students, individually or in groups, can be involved in a wide range of tasks and/or projects depending on the skills and competencies they have developed in their undergraduate studies so far. See students’ skills and competencies below. Students can take and complete work-based activities online/remotely Mon through Fri. All placements must be completed by the end of April 2025, as students will be assessed in May based on their full work experience. NB Students may not be available for work-based learning activities when they are attending classes or working in paid jobs. Students can undertake work-based activities either online/remotely or in person, depending what suits both the organisation and the student: 30 hours (flexible scheduling to accommodate the organisation and students’ scheduled studies) The work-based activities window is between January and the end of April 2025.* NB. Please note that during the Easter break [from 25th March to 7th April] students might not be available for work.
