Collective Intelligence Data Analysis
Positions available: 1-4 (1-2 teams of 1-2) LUCA Theory is looking to partner with a talented student[s] to contribute to our collective intelligence data analysis. We're looking for someone who is diligent and tactful to be able to help us manage data pipelines, build visualizations and run analysis. This role is for someone who is looking to get their foot in the door at an early-stage startup with the opportunity to grow. LUCA is a collective intelligence startup based out of Montreal. We are committed to helping power decision-making in a variety of fields with our goal to overcome cognitive biases and be less wrong. We primarily work remotely and get together for key sessions when it dictates. About the Role We are continuing to evolve our data analysis strategy, increase our impact in the collective intelligence market and improve our product offering. To expand our ability to generate novel insights and identify superforecasters within our platform, we are eager to partner with a student to assist with our collective intelligence data analysis. To support our data analysis we are looking for a student to contribute to the following: * Clean event data from recent collective intelligence contests to make uniform; * Perform data analysis on datasets with the eye to identify superforecasters and prepare to build artificial intelligence algorithms; * Contribute to the development of an automated backend and overall rapid response algorithm; * Assists in general database management and organization. This role may be split up amongst a pair of students/teams, depending on profiles and mandates. The main goal of this project is to update the website for Sodale Group and add a UGotThis Tab and finance fund raise information. This includes support of a private REIT listing on FrontFundr, including a pitch book to residents, investors and developers.
Capital Raise Phase 3

Sodale group is looking to collaborate with students to prepare for a capital raise plan. Work stream 1 will be working on communicating metrics with investors. Work stream 2&3 will focus on doing research for UrBestLife and UGotThis. Understanding rental rates and mortgage rates, zoning regulations and development and financial evaluation of multiplexes in various neighbourhoods across the GTA and nearby regions. Work stream 4 will work to create an integrated financial model based off the research done by all the other work streams and test to make sure that data is accurate. PHASE 2-Media Relations Practicum
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responding to requests for information release or press conference from the media or designating a spokesperson or source of information. Establishing and maintaining relationships with consumer, community, employee, and public interest groups. Writing press releases and other media communications to promote clients. Planning or directing the development of programs to maintain favorable public and stakeholder views of the organization's agenda and accomplishments. Studying the organization's objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, and services. Preparing and editing organizational publications, including employee newsletters or stockholders' reports, for internal and external audiences. Updating and maintaining Web content. Conferring with managers to identify trends and group interests and providing advice on business decisions.
Online Website Design
Our company advertises our products online. We hope to gain a renewed understanding of the features and design that our target market would expect in our website. We would like to collaborate with students to produce a design prototype informed by real customer input and feedback that we can bring to a developer for implementation. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Conducting user interviews and research on our industry, our target market, and desired website features. Designing a wireframe prototype for our website and mapping out user interactions. Documenting the design process and any additional insights that emerge. Testing the prototype with customers and surveying for feedback. Refining design ideas with input from experts and customers. Prototyping multiple versions of a design that includes the desired website features.
Spring Attractions Blog Series for Canadian Small Towns
The goal of this project is to create engaging and informative blog posts about spring attractions in Canadian small towns for the 1000 Towns of Canada website, 1000towns.ca. The project aims to highlight unique and lesser-known attractions that can draw visitors to these towns during the spring season. By doing so, the project will help promote tourism and support local economies. Learners will apply their research and writing skills to craft compelling narratives that capture the essence of each town's spring offerings. The project will involve identifying suitable towns, researching their attractions, and creating content that is both informative and appealing to potential visitors. The team will focus on ensuring that each post is well-structured, factually accurate, and aligns with the blog's style and tone.
