The main goal is to craft a series of insightful, informative blog posts tailored for new entrepreneurs and creators. These posts will aim to guide, inspire, and educate this audience on various aspects of starting and growing their businesses. The content will be featured on FreshFind's learning portal ( https://learn.freshfind.ca/ ), serving as a valuable resource for people looking to start a business from home or grow their existing local business.
Business Development - Sales, Growth, and Success (Fall 2023)
The primary objective of this project is to strategically expand FreshFind's client base by identifying and engaging with potential new clients. This will involve a series of steps including lead generation, relationship building, effective onboarding, and continuous support to ensure client success on our platform. The end goal is to not only increase the number of clients but also to ensure they derive maximum value from our services, fostering long-term partnerships.
UI + UX Design (Fall 2023)
The goal for this project is to improve the design of our current platform as well as the user experience of internal tools. This will involve: Conducting background research on our existing web application for the product. Conducting background research on our internal tooling Going through user interviews to gather feedback about areas for improvement Identifying key areas of focus which might return the best results in a redesign. We have some in mind, but user interviews may help with discovery of other areas. Learning and using various software design tools. We primarily use Figma. Developing high fidelity designs, creating new workflows in our internal tooling, and testing new designs and workflows with users
Data Analysis (Fall 2023)
The main goal for this project is to collect and analyze data that will help us discover new customers. Our goal is to understand new audiences and potential customer segments so that we can promote our platform to them and capitalize on new business expansion opportunities.
Social Media (Fall 2023)
FreshFind is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic student for our Social Media Management Project. The goal for the project will be to oversee one of our social media channels to build a vibrant community and brand awareness for our company. Project requirements include: Community Building: Engaging with other individuals and businesses through our social media account to create a sense of presence and community on our social channels User-Generated Content Creation: Collaborating with local businesses to create content around the businesses and products on our platform Content Calendar Execution: Timely deployment of all our social media content to drive maximum engagement PR Generation: Engaging with prominent influencers and media companies, as well as creating content to promote us on their platform(s)
Data Science & Analytics
The main goal for the project is to figure out what data we need to be capturing and how to analyze it to gain new insights about how we can grow our business and improve services for our users. This may include answering questions such as What data we need to be capturing How we can capture the necessary data points How we can use and analyze captured data to gain new insights How we can build and train advanced models to further optimize and automate value in our offering How we can visually represent the data using dashboards and reports to help internal and external stakeholders (team members, partners, users, etc) understand the information and insights gathered What new and disruptive technologies and models are being used in other organizations that may be a good fit for adoption at our organization?

How to generate and analyze survey data to identify interests, wants, and needs? How to use recorded data to create full customer profiles, and how to then segment and target customers? How to use recorded data to provide value to customers (eg. bring attention to information, products, and experiences that they want/need) How to use recorded data to forecast supply and demand, and to optimize pricing? How to use recorded data to optimize local production (eg. know when and how much to plant of each crop, how many products to make, etc) How to predict production irregularities using external data sets (eg. weather & satellite data to predict yield and loss, machine or employee turnover, etc) How to use recorded data to optimize logistics (eg. minimize costs, minimize environmental impacts, minimize wait times) What can be done to visually represent this data using dashboards to help our users understand all this information as easily as possible?
